Brunxu is the Brunka word for hummingbird
A sacred animal symbol of resurrection among many tribes of Central America. We named the place as a tribute to the indigenous people who populated this land long before the arrival of Europeans in Costa Rica — and because we hope our guests leave recharged with the energy they need for daily living.
The apartments sit in a two-storey house with wide balconies, surrounded by the exotic vegetation of the Central Pacific, looking over the town of Quepos and the ocean.
Four apartments, one jungle
Each one has its own kitchen, bathroom and balcony, and sleeps two to three people. Small weddings, commitment ceremonies and family reunions can use the rooftop terrace.

How are the rental flats?
Our apartments are set in a dream landscape of exotic vegetation, an ideal place to rest in the wilderness. Two storeys, expansive balconies, and a beautiful view of Quepos and the Pacific. The rooms are large enough for one to three people.
Is the location practical?
Yes. You can walk to the new Quepos Marina for offshore fishing, to restaurants such as El Gran Escape, to shops, bars, art galleries and the beach. Supermarkets, banks, pharmacies and the bus to San José airport are within walking distance too.
Why an apartment instead of a hotel?
It is cheaper than a hotel room and far more private: your own kitchen, your own balcony, no lobby and no schedule. Skip the overpriced hotel and rent a locally owned apartment.
